Abstract. The seismogenic state of the earth's crust in the Baikal Rift System (BRS) is assessed in the spring and summer 2025. Spatio-temporal distribution of earthquakes are defined two pulses: 1) April 30 – June 12 (pulse AJ) and 2) June 17 – August 13 (pulse JA). Earthquakes of the former pulse are traced in the eastern and western BRS with subsequent concentration and extinction in the west, earthquakes of the latter one are identified in the eastern BRS with shift to its center and extinction. Seismogenic effects of compression or extension forces of the crust are determined by coseismic coordinated variations in groundwater ORP at the Kultuk area. It is augured that the AJ seismic pulse is initiated due to forces of the both Japan-Baikal Geodynamic Corridor (JBGC) and Sayan-Mongolian Sector of Indo-Asian Convergence (SMSIAC), while the JA one is resulted only from the JBGC forces.
