Abstract. The hypothesis of the late Cenozoic pulsary propagation of tectonic deformations of the lithosphere from the Vitim-Udokan angular hot transtension zone to basins of Lake Baikal is substantiated. The origin of pulses is designated by volcanic intervals of the axial Vitim field of the Japan-Baikal geodynamic corridor (JBGC) and their development – by volcanic intervals of its peripheral Udokan field.

Keywords: Cenozoic, Asia, Baikal, Japan-Baikal geodynamic corridor, lithosphere, transtension, volcanism.
